You know it is funny, I can’t speak for everyone but some days feel so much more productive than others.  Yesterday had a nice pace to it, not too crazy but then I always ask myself did I drive the organization forward like I need to? Are we doing things today to be successful down the road? I think I can say yes to both but I do have to smile at how much I don’t always handle the “well managed” day as much as I enjoy the “over the top, running at full speed, if one more person comes to see me, my head will fall off” day.  I guess given my personality I will always have to learn to balance both worlds.  I am not sure I will ever be successful at the balance but maybe that is a good thing…..

Just came back from a trade show in California, and I thank my lucky stars for this little business called Bigelow Tea.  I talked with so many small businesses that are struggling to survive.  They were already hand to mouth, but now with banks making it tougher to lend money, they just can’t make it happen.

I came back to Bigelow and appreciated more than ever what my grandmother created.  Tomorrow I am doing a “state of affairs” for the corporate employees and can’t wait to emphasize how fortunate we are.  To be in a business of providing a reasonably priced product that can offer the consumer some comfort in today’s tough times… that is good!  We are lucky and we need to never forget that…
