This past February we told you just how much Scarlett Johansson enjoys tea – going as far as embracing the English custom of afternoon tea time. Now it turns out that Johansson’s beverage preference is a love she shares with others.

Recently published online photos show Natalie Portman of Star Wars fame joining Johansson in front of the cameras, tea cups in hand. Aside from tea, the two recently shared screen time together during the filming of The Other Boleyn Girl, where they starred as sisters contending for the affection of King Henry VIII.

Recently, I held a bridal shower for my niece, Chessie, at The Colonial Inn in Concord, Massachusetts. We are all big tea drinkers so we decided an afternoon tea would be nice. I had silver teapots overflowing with bright colored spring flowers on the tables and as favors, gave tea cups wrapped up with an assortment of Bigelow teas. Bigelow Tea is a favorite in our family! After filming two back-to-back films in England, American starlet Scarlett Johansson “has embraced the English custom of afternoon teas.”

Johansson may be best known for her 2003 part in Sofia Copppola’s Lost in Translation which paired her with Bill Murray in a non-comedic role. It has taken time in London during more recent movies, however, to convince her to adapt the British teatime custom for her own lifestyle, says Contact Music.com. “The way the English allocate a certain time of day for tea and sandwiches is wonderful,” she is quoted as saying.

Afternoon tea isn’t the only time Johansson enjoys the beverage, though. When Elle caught up with her in New York, she was ordering a special hybrid drink: half iced tea, half lemonade.
