Jose and Susan Feliciano Visit Bigelow Tea!

What an amazing week we had here at Bigelow Tea! As I already told you, Wayne Gretzky visited us but I didn’t get to tell you that Jose Feliciano and his wife Susan visited us later in the week.

I can’t even begin to tell you how great it was to meet Jose and Susan. They are such an incredible kind, genuine, couple. We shot a video with Jose discussing his life story: he was born blind and grew up in Puerto Rico with eleven brothers. His love for music began at the age of 3 and he is now one of the greatest guitarists and vocalists of all time!

I felt a little like Oprah or Barbara Walters…it was so much fun! Jose had a great sense of humor; at one point we were all laughing but then, in the next minute, he started to play “Light my Fire,” one of the songs he is best known for, and tears were running down my face as well as most of the employees here at Bigelow Tea who were invited to listen in on the conversation. After my interview with Jose and Susan the whole room joined in and sang Feliz Navidad with Jose. It was another moving moment for all of us.

Yes, this was a day that we will never forget. It was truly amazing how many employees came up to me afterwards to let me know how much they loved hearing Jose’s life history. Watch for more of Jose and Susan Feliciano as we share the video with you soon!
