A toast to our employees health….at Bigelow Tea, ensuring everyone’s health and well being is top on our list. That is what makes the fact that our company is being recognized by the Business Council of Fairfield County as a Gold winner of the Healthy Workplaces Best Practices Award so special. This prestigious award honors the successful efforts of area companies in promoting a healthy workplace.
Important initiatives like this need a dedicated champion, and Bigelow Tea certainly has one in Pat Sorgenti, Corporate Human Resources Manager. Believing that health and wellness begins with the individual, and that wellness efforts should be the product of a true partnership involving the employee, the company and the health insurance carrier, Pat organized the effort and jumpstarted Bigelow Tea’s entry into the arena sponsoring a host of wellness initiatives.
Whether a walking program in competition with other companies, strength & resilience stress reduction programs, health fairs, blood pressure screenings, flu shots or completing health risk assessments that target future initiatives, Bigelow Tea is BIG on wellness!
