Bigelow Tea Delights in Family Stories Month

Founded in 1945, Bigelow Tea is a family business that shares a grand history of tea, family and community – a “natural” for Family Stories Month in November! The Bigelow family started in the tea business when Ruth Campbell Bigelow created Constant Comment, her eternal tea blend, which got its name from the constant comments that it generated from tea lovers. She built the business with her husband, and when their son David C. Bigelow became President, Bigelow Tea was living the classic American family success story. Today the company, with granddaughter Cindi Bigelow at the helm, is both an American and a Family institution.

As a company founded on family values, Bigelow Tea continues to promote the importance of family, not only at home but also in the community. We know it’s important to give back, as with the Annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge, a family event that raises money for local organizations in need. At Bigelow Tea we see our company and community as extension of our Bigelow family – we know that strong relationships build an environment in which we can all grow and prosper together.

Let’s continue to build on Family Stories Month into December, to revisit all of our family stories and ties, and build on our family strength through things as simple as the family meal, the perfect opportunity to share, and build new family stories. And over a cup of Bigelow Tea no less!

My family is all sorts of tea lovers, many of them from faraway places I reach on the Internet. I don’t have a natural family except for a couple sisters but I have tea friends and brethren so I count my blessings.
