No Stress: Tea and Company, A True Mother’s Day Gift

If joining thousands of strangers at a crowded brunch for Mother’s Day is not your ‘thing,’ how about something with a little less stress. After all, what mother wouldn’t like a low-stress day of celebration for ‘her’ day?

Bigelow Tea pairs well with cinnamon buns.

If breakfast in bed means lots of cooking, and leaves any clean up for your mother, perhaps you should rethink your plan…how about something relaxed, like a Bigelow Tea selection with toast? If you’ve spent any time south of the Mason-Dixon Line, you’ve probably had cinnamon toast or cinnamon peach toast. Take it up a notch (hey, it’s your mother we’re talking about) with tea and Sensational Cinnamon Sticky Buns. Fancy enough, yet much less work then a full meal. Of course, if you are the next celebrity chef in the making, go for it and make the gourmet breakfast or brunch!

Bigelow Tea pairs well with shortbread cookies.

Not a morning person? Don’t live near your mother? Why not an afternoon tea? For a super simple tasty tea time, try Green Tea with Peach, Cinnamon Stick® Tea, or Sweetheart Cinnamon Valentine Herb Tea with some Assorted Pure Shortbread, or other tea time treats. You could even send tea and treats to your mother, and then plan a phone or Skype date with her, for a long distance tea time Mother’s Day celebration.

Simple, low stress, tasty — your mother will be thrilled! There’s nothing better than a tasty tea break and quality family time. You could use that time to collect stories about your mother, like David C. Bigelow did for his book, My Mother Loved Tea. It’s a great tribute to his mother, Ruth Campbell Bigelow, the founder of Bigelow Tea. You might even have the beginnings for a book, and a great Mother’s Day gift for next year!
