16th October, 2007: Tinseltown Tea
Hollywood’s historic Wattles Mansion recently set the stage for an elaborate tea party honoring some of this year’s imported Emmy nominees. According to Hello Magazine, the scene was international in scope as a British contingent gathered over tea to fete nominees which included Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance fame. Deeley now resides in L.A. (and sports the golden tan to prove it).
Ashley Jensen, originally from Scotland, also attended the tea. Jenson has become familiar in the U.S. thanks to her role in the popular ABC comedy Ugly Betty.
During the tea party, guests and honorees alike enjoyed Battenburg cake, clotted cream and crustless watercress sandwiches served up on Wedgewood china.
