Tea Facts both Past and Present

Here are some fun tea facts you might not know.

  • Tea has been around for over 5000 years
  • Americans consume more than 50 billion servings of tea.
  • Away from home consumption of tea has increased by 10% annually over the past 10 years.
  • It takes five pounds of fresh tea leaves to make one pound of finished tea.
  • Tea is one of the largest agricultural products in the world. Nearly 35 billion pounds of tea leaves were harvested last year. That is enough to produce nearly 7 billion pounds of finished tea.

    BTW TPG there is mystery who created Tea was Chinese emperor who was plague by headache or some Chinese monk they are not really sure LOL!
