23rd April, 2007: The Best Cup of Tea
There are many things that make companies great and one of ours is our people.
The goal of Bigelow is to provide the best cup of tea possible to our consumer and that can only come when you have employees that are dedicated and caring. Our three manufacturing facilities employ over 220 employees and their average tenure is 9 years plus. Each year the company recognizes those that have been with the company 7 years or more with dinner and dancing.
While the employee morale and job enjoyment levels might not show up on all great companies it sure makes a difference to ours.

Sir,
I was an avid listener of the Don Imus show and I want you to know that I was extremely disappointed on hearing that you withdrew your sponsorship of his show. Especially so “early on” in the immediate aftermath of a stupid, ill-advised, off hand remark meant to be humorous but instead was meanspirited and hurtful.
I am disgusted that sponsors have abandoned Imus and I vow that I will use my small influence as a consumer to avoid buying any product these despicable people promote. Including Bigelow Tea.
No, I do NOT accept your reasoning for going on his telethon as cause to continue buying your product. After all, I can be as hard-hearted as you were when you abanoned him. Why should you be given the benefit of the doubt when you didn’t give that to Imus.
