20th February, 2007: Green Tea in the Health Limelight
A new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has shown that higher consumption of green tea was found to be a factor in higher cognitive functioning. The subjects of this study done by the Tsurugaya Project were 1003 Japanese people over the age of 70. Each individual completed a questionnaire that included information on how often they consumed green tea. ” . . . older people who drank at least two cups of antioxidant rich green tea per day were 50% less likely to develop cognitive impairment compared to the people who drank three or fewer cups on a weekly basis.” wrote Annette Dypping D.C. about the study.

The benefits of green tea are now well established. As with anything…., all green teas are not the same…., especially when it comes to “organic” green tea. Question: Where does Bigelow grow their green tea, and who certifies their tea as “USDA Organic”?

Jim,
Thanks for your comment and question!
We produce two organic green teas. One is sold via our food service division in club stores and that is certified by IMO (Organic by Institute for Marketecology), and our organic tea sold in retail stores is certified by QAI (Quality assurance International).
We purchase our green teas from all over the world.
Thanks again for your great question!
